Volume EM Masterclass

We are running an in-person Volume EM Masterclass in parallel with VIS26, hosted by Sydney Microscopy & Microanalysis at Sydney University from June 29th to July 3rd 2026.

This unique Masterclass aims to provide participants with a complete overview of volume EM techniques and applications. Through lectures and hands-on demos, we will cover biological sample preparation for volume EM, serial block face imaging, FIB-SEM and array tomography, as well as data processing, segmentation and modelling.

This Masterclass is kindly sponsored by Microscopy Australia. It will be limited to a maximum of 15 participants on a first come, first serve basis. The cost is $300 for AMMS members and $400 for non-members. Travel grants supporting air fares and accomodation are available to applicants associated with microscopy facilities and will be awarded based on demonstrated need.
